Has anybody been able to set up their account in Canada for the remote app. For some reason I get bounced around to depts and still no luck?

My account was already setup when I picked up the car. It was my bmw connected id that was part of the Sirius/connected services contract.
They just used my email address. If you are having issue just talk to the business manager at the dealership to fix/set it up. |

That is BS!!! We cannot use a certain feather of the vehicle because we live in Canada????? That makes me very angry at BMW. I am going to look into this too.

Just talk to the business manager. They will take care of everything. Being in Canada means the dealer has to fix everything - they can't always do it by phone. As dumb as it sounds - that's Canada for you.

Preconditioning doesn't work well unless the air outside is much colder than the air inside, vice versa. I found over the weekend that it blew hot air into the car because the vents were hot from the sun. So while a good idea, it doesn't work well in practice for all conditions.

Finally got my password reset! But in doing so I am no longer in the system and nobody is associated with my car as the electronic service agreement has disappeared and all my connected services and BMW assist are off and not working! So now I can't login with the new password!
I hope this gets fixed soon! |

Sounds like a big hassle. I remember all I needed to set up was get an account online, add my VIN, put in the code that's sent to my car [to verify it's my car] and then all done.

i suspect this is due to the app and website being US versions and our vins being canadian thus unable to register it ourselves. i took delivery of my X5 and couldnt register as well until i found a piece of paper when highlighted log in info and password, and it worked right away with the remote app, dealer never told me about this too... anyways, how do u get connected drive app working? i dont see anywhere to log in?

Once you open the app (BMW Remote app) you should have a place to put in username and password. |
