My '15 BMW X5 M Sport...
Might as well formally introduce myself to the F15 forum. I've been on the E70 side for quite a few years, and now that my E70 as officially been sold to mkPOTO, it's time to spend a bit more time on this side of the fence.
I'd been looking at an F15 for quite some time, and as we probably all do, been running VIN after VIN. A tedious exercise, but I was determined on getting certain options that were at times hard to find. I didn't want another white vehicle, and decided after seeing a few nice black ones on this forum, to pick a BSM. I ended up finding one in Atlanta, GA, of all places and took delivery late last week. This one had everything I wanted, apart from some sort of suspension upgrade. Really wanted it, but in hindsight, the DHP would have been very hard to find. The specifications: X5 xDrive35i Black Sapphire Metallic Mocha Interior Design Package w/ Fineline Pure Wood Trim M Sport 469M wheels Cold Weather Package Driver Assistance Package Driver Assistance Plus w/ Active Driver Assistant Lighting Package Luxury Seating Package Premium Package Soft Close Automatic Doors Comfort Rear Seats Ceramic Controls Surround View Parking Assistant Harman Kardon Concierge Services Enhanced USB and Bluetooth M Performance grill My previous X5, the E70. Absolutely loved this vehicle: The F15 as she arrived from Atlanta. A huge "thank you" to Jose of JNZONE transportation. He treated this vehicle like his own, and updated me with phone call, text messages and photos along the journey to Texas. I cannot recommend him enough. The X5 arrived in perfect condition! First wash/detail. Minus a few small blemishes, the paint was in great shape. On the list of "nice to haves" would be the m50d finds, some 22" wheels and a slight drop. |

Congratulations - looks great. Would love to hear your impressions comparing the f15 vs E70. Your e70 had adaptive drive, IIRC - how's the handling sans AD? Please keep us posted!

I certainly don't want people to interpret this the wrong way; I most certainly like the vehicle, otherwise I would not have purchased it. It's just very, very different. |

So I had to get my car inspected today, but it failed because the tint on the front windows is too dark. Came back as 13% but in Texas the maximum is 25%. I love the way it looks, but would like to see what a 25% tint looks like. Who has it on their X5?

Here is 25% carbon suntek - I know not the best but it was an easy free option and I had no time to do it on my own.
3 different angles to help. Lighter than the back but not too bad. Easy to see out at night too. |

Very nice X5, and I like that you put on the black grills. And very great looking interior.

This helps a lot, thank you! I'm primarily going for look, as it's hot as hell in Texas anyways, and my cars are always parked inside. So they never bake in the sun. I'm getting the car re-tinted on Monday, so I'll report back with a "before and after".
