F15 ZF 8 speed gearbox maintenance

Hi guys, heard that our gearbox oil can last lifetime. .. but i do not believe in that. Any one of you have changes your gearbox fluid ?

It is a technically a lifetime.
But I would change it when the odometer hits 100k miles.

I'm planning for 50k so not there yet. I don't believe in lifetime either. I don't want to to wait too long like 100k since I'm bound to introduce problems if I change the fluids then. I guess 30k is doable, but I don't think it's necessary. The ZF fluid isn't exactly cheap.

I'm going for 50k since that's the mileage I've done it on most cars. I've done one at like 90k and I had some transmission problems like slipping. It went away after a while since I guess the electronics got used to the new fluid, but it as unsettling at first.

i believe that is what audi, bmw and mb consider a "lifetime".
