Exhaust Sound... from the Inside

Can all you aftermarket exhaust owners comment on how the exhaust sounds from inside the car? With windows up.

I think I've only seen vids of the AWE and Eisenmann inside the car, and to be honest, it sounded like a stock exhaust. I know the vids don't do the exhausts justice, but at least you can tell there's a difference from outside the car. I'm curious if there's a big difference from INSIDE the car.

You should probably also specify if you want to hear things with active sound on or off. That contributes a bit to cabin noise.

Very good point. If possible, active sound off, valves open, sport + mode.

I HATE active sound.

I have a Remus cat back exhaust and active sound 100% off. Car sounds awesome. Very natural and organic and not digitized at all like with active sound. With valves fully open, car sounds great at virtually all RPMs. When you floor it up to redline. Car screams like crazy... But exhaust noise is definitely coming from the back vs from the speakers.

With valves closed and active sound defeated, the car sounds as quiet as a Toyota Camry.

If have an MPE and the plug pulled on ASD. With the valves closed and windows rolled up, the exhaust has a deep purr but remains very (very) quiet. When the valves open up, you can hear that I6 growl and the presence can definitely be felt, much more natural sounding.

However, I have to say, the true pleasure awakens when you pull the windows down .
