Help: IPE Evo Valvetronic Exhaust. Yay or nay?

From everything I've read & can find on here, this seems like a well done exhaust w/ a nice sound, loud w/ valve open, but nice none the less & not horribly loud w/ valve closed according to the db reading online. 15whp gain on their dyno test, decent weight loss, etc..

Does anybody have any experience w/ this system on their F8X 1 way or another?

Here's a link to a couple vids from Autotalent: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1094741

The F1 systems are horribly loud.

Seeing as we only saw a 7whp gain on the Akra Evo setup, I doubt that info is valid. Don't expect any gains from not swapping downpipes.

People are often mistaken... iPE offers the F1 and the Evo system for the F8X. The F1 is the resonated version. It has JUST been released. The Evo is the non resonated version.

The Evo paired to downpipes is INSANELY loud.

If you need more info on both systems feel free to shoot me a PM. We are a authorized iPE dealer

Everyone has different wants/needs. Hear one in person first before pulling the trigger.

Please try and hear this exhaust in person before buying it. Could save yourself some money.

Someone posted a video a few days ago on Frequency Intelligent. Sounded pretty damn good but I can't seem to find the video now.

I would check that out.

Honestly, the stock exhaust sounds better. Especially with a set of DPs.

Funny you say that. I was just talking to my buddy today about just doing DP's & an X-pipe. I love how the stocker sounds as well. Louder, throatier, yes, I think thats easily done without spending $4k.
