JB4 now Includes an Aluminum WeatherProof Enclosure and OBD Harness!!

I just got a surprise email from BMS with some great news. Starting today all JB4s will start shipping with the new billet aluminum all weather enclosure and OBD harness to make a true plug and play install.

If you ordered the JB4 from me in the last month shoot me an email and we will be able to get you an enclosure at a discounted rate if desired.

Hi mike. How much is the enclosure inc postage to the UK. Im a bit peeved being an avid Burger Motorsport Product user i jumped on the chance to buy a JB4 over every other tune out there then down the line realised i pulled the short straw and have to pay extra for an enclosure late comers will get for free.

The postage is what kills my US purchases so if there's anything you could do that would be great.

Not everyone is going to be happy to pay to upgrade but fortunately BMS does keep those upgrades reasonably priced. For example the new billet enclosure upgrade is $59. About what it costs them to make it. I was surprised it is being included at no charge but I think it's a great move going forward. Really solidifies the jb4 as the top tune for the s55.

Shoot me a pm and I can see what I can do for you in terms of postage costs.

Mike

Yeah! They should've waited and not released their tune until something as small as the enclosure was completed and free. That way no one would've had their tune for the past year but at least no one would've pulled the short straw and not gotten a free enclosure.

This place is hysterical!

Don't hate on the guy for being one of the first to buy. At least he is asking politely.

I did ask politely firstly. And secondly i jumped on BMS's products as i always do knowing that it would be a good option. O have no issue with paying for the case but i keep getting stung by sellers with their UK postage thats 5 times what it actually costs.

Mike,
Sorry if this is a really amateur question, but am i right in thinking, that with this new JB4, you can simply plug it into the OBD port, and thats it, you are good to go ?, no fiddling under the bonnet ?, thankyou, regards, SIMON.

One still needs to connect the fuel mass connector, electronic wastegate connectors, map connector, and t-map connector in the engine bay.

The OBD plug only takes care of the CAN connection.

Is the OBDII connector a pass-through design? It looks like it from the pictures but in other words could I still use my V1 Savvy that is currently plugged into my OBDII port? Or can you only have the JB4 plugged in?

Yes correct with the OBD cable you just plug into the OBD diagnostic port. Plugs and play

From my exchanges with BMS its a pass through design but if anything gets plugged in the JB4 deactivates.

Its very simple. If you needed to remove it you would disconnect the two wire connections inside the engine bay (posi tap or wire nut) and then just pull harness out. (this would be a complete removal)

If you just want to tuck it out of the way you could disconnect it from the OBD port and tuck it under the panel below the steering wheel and keep it connected to the JB4. (this would take less then a minute to do)

This is awesome news. I ordered the JB4 last month and I was able to get this new case included in my order for a minimal fee.
It has been a real pleasure dealing with Mike and his customer service is top notch.
