Some new S55 JB4 Features - Gear Dependant Boost and All Cylinder Timing!

Came across some info the other day and just didn't have time to post it up. BMS with the help of a flash tuner friend were able to get 6-cyl timing monitoring working on the JB4_S55. Some issue to still work out in terms of OBDII bandwidth so they are going to limit the amount of info displayed. Default will likely be cyl#5 in addition to cyl#1 as #5 tends to run the nosiest. Or they may have it always show #1 and then rotate through 2-6 with 1/5th the refresh rate each. They are evaluating that now.

In addition actual gear has been added which now allows for the gear based boost control to finally be gear based instead of speed based. This has been tested on the DCT but not on the MT yet.

This is just an expansion of the JB4s ability to monitor timing on all cylinders instead of just one.

Very good, in the N54s cyl 5 was always the noisiest... curious how this motor compares.

It's really not even much of a contest these days. The CANbus, boost by gear, and now the OBDII connection & in dash controls/gauges, really set it apart from anything else out there.
