$1300!!!!!! Is that a joke. I almost had my wallet out to order some thinking $500 tops.
MSR are now also taking the piss. Its an insult for vendors to be handing out these prices. We know its because we own expensive cars. Doesn't make us fools. I'm done with M Tax. I'm not buying anything for my M4, i refuse to be a moron with my money. |

Hellll no. Burger Tuning charge pipes for the N54/N55 is $239. For 2 pipes in the S55, I would not pay more than $500 for charge pipes. When will these companies realized selling 1,000 units at a lower price is better than selling 10 units at a higher price?
Just wait for a burger Tuning or ER.

I recieved my chargepipes and they are great. Those pipes are not easy to make with the limited space. Msr is giving a nice discount to any who wants to email them.

Is larger diameter necessarily better here? For a big tune maybe but doesn't the higher diameter slow the velocity of the air down and potentially lessen response?

Anyways glad you like your 1300$ pipes It isn't that I can't afford it, it is in principal that I am not paying the exorbitant price gouge I'd rather go and buy a few thousand lbs of canned and dry dog food and donate it to my no kill animal shelter , but what do I know, I'm not a grown man like you |

Patience is key. He is the only one on the market selling it right now. The price is nuts. But some people will pay for it.
Evolution Racewerks is completing there final design and will have it ready in a few days . My car will have it on later this week or next. The design is great and will have option for meth injection and not have that so called "M" tax.

Guys I think the point is there's no need for name calling like children, first someone calls the guy a sucker and then someone calls the guy a fool when the dude is here trying to let people know he has it and anyone interested he's willing to help out answering any questions. When I had my EVO X I remember paying $600 for a carbon lip and I myself thought I had to be the biggest idiot in existence and on top of that I had to wait 6 months for it to be made and arrive from Japan... Now I see vendors ask for $700 for an frp lip and $1000 for the Mperf lip and I'm sick to my stomach about it. M tax is correct, but I don't believe anger should be directed towards buyers but towards the vendors by simply not buying.

I know what it takes to make those pipes. I have been in the high performance modification business for almost 15 years now. I have close ties with fabricators that make stuff for tight locations that take more R&D then these 2 pipes.
$1300 is crazy! It has nothing to do with being able to afford it or not, its principal that this same pipe for any other vehicle is $200-$300 with the same R&D using the same materials. Just the "M" tax coming into play once again. This is a Turbo Cobra that I built for a friend of mine. Custom 4" stainless downpipe plus jet hot coating. From the turbo all the way back to the catback plus a 4" cutout to bypass the mufflers. Utilizing high quality V bands and some very difficult fab work to get it in and out and around the suspension, moving parts no less. $2000......... For a 1 off custom piece that is way way harder to make then these charge pipes. People that pay prices for items like this clearly have more money then they know what to do with and do not really care. I can buy that $1300 chargepipe set right now without blinking. But I won't because the prices are ridiculous. |
