Looking to buy 5 Series BMW

Hi guys,

im a newbie to this forum. I'm looking into buying a 2009 BMW 5 series. I was wondering what are some of the things I should look into when buying a BMW what things i should look for in these models and know about.

FYI: if someone is selling there BMW in this forum please let me know .

If you want the latest iDrive CIC, make sure it was built after October 2008. Also, the M-Sport is a very nice option to have as it keeps the style up to date with the latest BMWs. The AWD is also very nice if you live in the snow belt. As for engines, all are great. The 535 is the highest powered model that comes with AWD and a manual transmission. the available options are numerous, so you should find a catalogue on 5series.net and review the options that were available.

^ Just get the 2nd gen iDrive, it's worth it IMO! (I have first gen, CCC). You'd have to get a build date after February 2009 to get CIC, though. Mine is 2/09 and I am stuck with CCC.

I have a 2008 550i w/Sport Package I'll be selling next summer (2016). It will have close to 100K miles but have kept it very clean and it runs great! Engine (V8, 360 HP) has been solid! Get 26mpg on HWY too. I am the only owner and it's been my daily driver for work. Carbon Black Metallic, beautiful 19" 172 rims, Beige leather interior. I got every option available (HUD, night vision, etc) except for Active Steering(AS) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).

I know you're in Toronto area, I have relatives up that way too. Probably not a good match but if you're interested and timing is good let me know!
