REWARD!! Passenger side headlight out, everything seems fine though!

I'm getting frusterated with this car.

I've got a passenger side low-beam/high-beam out. (it's showing the bulb out error symbol in the cluster)

1. I replaced the bulb and ballast.

2. I took the whole assembly out and plugged it into the drivers side: it works, the headlight comes on no problem.

3. The Adaptive functionality is fine. When I turn the car on, the headlight adjusts but doesn't come on. (Driver's side comes on with no issues.)

4. I checked fuses 84 and 86, they are fine.

5. I checked the headlight switch on the drivers side; took it apart it looks 100% ok. No burns or funny looking anything.

I feel like they must have a relay or something in the car that is broken.

PayPal reward for anyone who can figure this head scratcher out.

It is most likely the harness attached to the passenger side of your car. (the wires that attach to the headlight)

INPA is some kind of diagnostics thing? I'm not clear on what that is. :P

Should I get a volt meter and start testing things?

Is there a relay or something that could be fried?

I suggest you take out the driver's side headlight and plug it into the passenger's side harness. If your driver's side headlight does not work then you have your answer, the problem will reside in the wiring of your car and not the headlight itself.

If it does work then most likely it's the light control module of the passenger's headlight or something of the passenger's side headlight is broken!

Good luck please update me !

Thanks for your reply, but I've already done that. Please re-read point 2 in my original post.

I don't think you read my post clearly.

You said you took out the passenger side head light and swapped it over to the driver side headlight and the passenger side headlight worked. Now I'm telling you to do the same thing but pop the driver side headlight into the passenger side slot and see if it works.

If the driver side headlight turns on then that means that there's something wrong with the passenger headlight, if the driver side headlight doesn't turn on then there is a problem with the wiring of your car on the passenger side.

Did you solve this problem? If you swapped the driver side headlight onto the passenger side headlight and that did not work, it might be an issue with your footwell module...See if you can read your fault codes from that.

If you can't read your footwell module fault codes test the voltages from the headlight harness.
Pin #1 is for Angel eyes
#2 is ground for the bixenon
#3 is the bixenon low beam
#4 is ground
#5 is the bixenon shutter
#6 .. 11 are for the levelling control but you said those are working
#12 is the indicator

So i would be checking that you are getting voltage from pin #3, and pin #2 is making good ground contact (check this by measuring the resistance - it should be 0 ohms)
