ACM | First look at the M4/ M3 IPE exhaust

With AUTOcouture Motorings close relationship with IPE and GT Auto Concepts we were able to get one of the very first systems for our M4 shop car.

It is truly an incredible system just like the E92 M3 one before it.

The Quality, the welds, and most importantly the noise is just perfect

BMW F80 M3 / F82 M4 Exhaust

​Innotech's valvetronic technology offers a sophisticated perfomance exhaust system that delivers both power and dynamic valve control to the driver's seat. The full system includes the remote capability to command 3 different modes: open, closed, and auto. In open mode, the valves are fully open for maximum flow and power, creating an exotic tone. When the valves are closed, volume is reduced for a more low-profile, comfortable drive. The auto mode enables the system to detect the engine RPM and fuel pedal signal to automatically adjust the valve movements. Furthermore, the muffler internals were individually designed and produced for each different car models in order to perform Valvetronic technology. Each product has its own unique sound and performance to break out of the ordinary.

Heard this exhaust in person before, Sam from modecarbon has it on his m3 with stock downpipes. It sounds surprisingly good with the stock downpipes, I'm sure Alex at ACM is enjoying his new exhaust.

How is it compared to other exhausts you've heard for this car? The quality looks nice and the vids of IG sound good. I just wish more companies would offer straight cut tips.

With the Downpipes its loud when open, has a very very nice strong sound to it, not as raspy as most other ones I've, heard

The sound is crisp and deep, hard to describe it but compared to others his was more on the refined side. But with downpipes it changes completely in my opinion, also heard it with downpipes and it gets extremely loud and raspy. It depends on the person hearing it and your personal tastes and preferences.

I heard a few of them at an airstrip event last year in November so I heard some of these other exhausts at full throttle. Heard the rest at the modecarbon meet last month, it's the best way to hear different set ups out in the wild.

I have had this exhaust for a couple of months now and it is so so much better than I was expecting. I have some videos that I have been working on but just haven't had the time to finish them up and post them with a thorough review.

People compliment how mean it sounds with the valves open. It is intoxicating fo' sho'

Went to hear Alex's exhaust in person today, hide your children this exhaust is loud and angry. Downpipes make a big difference in its sound. Honestly the exhaust goes with his car's personality, the car looks incredible. Makes picking out an exhaust that much harder since you can add this exhaust to the want list along with a few others.

They are both loud and angry sounding with downpipes that's forever sure. The IPE has a little bit of a higher pitch than the AWE while the AWE has more of a deep sound but are still very similar in sound. In this case its just going to be up to the consumer and their personal tastes to see which options they lean towards more. It's been a pleasure for me to listen to so many of these set ups. I feel lucky since a lot of people have not had a chance to hear more than 1 or 2 set ups if any at all.
