Build quality looks quite substantial from what I see in your posted photo.
On a separate note, on my way home this evening running behind an SSII e92 M with what looked like stock exhaust, boy what a sweet sound those V8s had. Hopefully the Dinan FFE can help us forget!

Hello. Exhaust is installed. I'll try to get a video up in a bit. Overall I like the sound and love the looks of it. Exhaust is a little louder and has a lot better tone, less farty. No drone at all. Still miss the v8 sound though.
Wanted to say Thank you to Reeves in Tampa for the fast service and great install. If anyone is local ask for the guys in Motorsports. |

Just put a Dinan on the E93 last week. They make a great piece, not overly loud but plenty of presence.

Except for the sound, based on the numbers I've seen and what I have read my F80 is head and shoulders above the old E92 thus no reason to take a step backwards. Let me disclose here, I've never owned an M before, so take my comments as such but I have owned their I6s, both NA and twin turbo in non M versions. My post has nothing to do with performance, only exhaust note, ie that the M V8 makes some pretty nice tone. Aftermarket performance companies are going after this note because many are not happy with the current. Maybe Dinan can fill out my request? If not then so be it. Either way I stand by my initial comment, the M V8s had a great sound.

Would love to see a vid. Hopefully you have something other than the crappy phone mic. But all the other vids are from phones, so at least that's apples to apples

It's his post and his opinion....no need to turn this into another 'E92 sucks, F8x rules' post.

Dinan exhaust
Going by my dealer this morning to see/hear one they just installed on one of their cars. Very interested.
Edit: Only heard it stationary, but I liked what I heard. More aggressive without being obnoxiously loud. Tips are a nice size. Canister still visible, but I'd probably black it out.

Price isn't as bad as I thought; granted it's strictly a muffler-only section.

Note that the Dinan exhaust has an interesting quirk: only one pair of tips is operational at a time.
When the valves are closed, only the inboard tips are operational and with the valves open only outboard tips are operational.

That'll make it interesting to sample AFR on the dyno.
