Macht Schnell Valve mod vs. "Unplug mod"

So guys im confused if these two are messing with the same valve or if the car has more than 2 valves which are being affected...

I know if the valves/flaps on the muffler are open and you unplug it, it stays open forever.

Other cases show guys buying the Macht Schnell and opeining/closing valves through the turn signal handle...

QUESTION: Are both "mods" controlling the same valve/flap which is on the muffler? (if so, i guess i can see the convenience factor of opening/closing with a push of a button versus unplugging a plug for free)

...Or is there another valve in the exhaust system that can be opened/closed by purchasing a valve controller

Feedback would be appreciated

Depends on how much control you want, both do the same thing and control the same valves. The MS and the JB CAN Flap module (which is cheaper) allow you to close the valves if for some reason you want them closed like morning cold starts or at highway speeds to reduce drone.

If you want to be wide open all the time then unplugging is the most cost effective method. Those modules also clear CEL if you are running DPs and the JB module has other features like disabling active sound.

If you're looking to get a tune I'd just get the JB4. I felt wrong paying a good portion of the JB4 cost to just control the exhaust valves.

You could leave them disconnected for a few days/ weeks and you should know if you'll want the control the modules provide you with.

The Macht Schnell EVC module controls both flaps mounted on the muffler assembly via the BC button on the steering column - opening or closing the valves at your command. There's a number of other features (and more coming) included in the package.

You can unplug the valves if you want the exhaust to be open all the time and simply have no desire for operation from the driver's seat, the choice is up to you.

Can anyone offer insight as to what the Macht Schnell module has over the JB CAN Flap module to justify the cost difference? If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the Schnell module also tap into some wires?

The Macht Schnell EVC module was released first, the primary intention is to be hidden behind the dash, keeping the OBD2 open for other devices and maintaining a clean interior. Updates are provided at no charge for existing users via the included USB cable.

The MS EVC also has a low power mode, which allows the module to enter sleep mode to prevent any unnecessary drain while the car is locked/stored.

Awesome, thanks! Would you happen to have any pictures of the unit?
