1200Miles(2000KM) Break-in Not Required? (done at 120Mils)?!?
Hi All,
Just wondering if there is a contact email to the M Service division at head office Germany? I'm in Australia and having issues with a just delivered M4. Upon taking delivery of the car, within 2 days the Park Assist failed. When going into reverse the front/rear sensor & auto parking would not work with an error on the iDrive Park Assist failed. The car was taken back by the dealer who advised it was a faulty sensor which needed to be replaced and reprogrammed. Car was returned and everything worked for less than a week before failing again. It will need to go back again to be checked. Issue comes when we picked up the car from the first sensor replacement, the SA advised they have also done the break-in service? Upon questioning him that, it should have been done at 2000KM's (1200miles) not 200KM's he is insisting that it is not needed to be done at 2000KM's. How can the car be broken-in at 200KM's...... can we insist that they do a proper break-in service upon reaching 2000KM's? We still need to send the car back to find out the cause of the Park Assist Failure. Thanks Rod |

Yes, insist they do another break in service at 2000km because at 200km it's not nearly broken in enough.
