HELP: Speakers, door chimes, all audio have static

Hey guys, here goes another one...

Let me preface by saying that I've read ALL the white noise and speaker static threads available. Hoping that a fresh thread will give me some more insight. This crap is annoying. My car Is a 2009. BMW pro radio. Standard stuff if I'm not mistaken.

The problem I'm experiencing is static with EVERYTHING that's related to the radio i.e. music, door chimes, parking sensors, etc. From all speakers.

While I was doing my conversion, I got some water in my left wheel well...where the amp is.

- Took it out, dried it and cleaned the area. No dice.
- Got a new amp. No dice.
- Checked all the wiring for shorts. No dice.
- Cleaned the connectors and pins. No dice.
- Checked my fuses. No dice.

I read that a SW update might work. Any insight would be much appreciated.

Did you run your own speaker wires, or stick with the OE wires? I picked up static when installing a center channel in the dash. I'm sure I crossed some wire or piece of electronics that caused the static. The solution was to use shielded speaker wire.
