Either way Kudos to Penn for going through with the fight and at least he didn't tap out like a little bitch when we was getting the shit punched out of him...cough cough.
I hope after last night there's a little more respect for GSP. There is no shame in tapping, you just got to realize after the lost you learn from it and become a better "fighter". Hopefully, Penn learns from this fight and don't end up quitting cause of the lack of challenge in his class. I don't believe Kenny Florian is a challenge for him.

On that theory of weight difference yes it's true but BJ has the talent to overcome it just like Pacman did to De la hoya.

Did Machida get hit during that fight, I don't think T. Silva got one clean hit on Machida, only a few pepper spray during the clinch I recall. Man this guy reminds me of Bruce Lee, takes what the opponent gives and reacts from that. Such a intelligent fighter. Prove that he can be exciting too. Just loved it. I just hope he gets some respect and fights for the title next. I see Machida holding the title for a very long time a la matt hughes.

Machida is good, but I don't like his style of fighting. He lays back and makes you chase him and he attacks you as you come in. When he fought Roger Huerta in a previous fight, all he did was back up and counter Huerta to a point where Huerta ended up having to chase him down during the whole fight. It was one of the most annoying fights I've ever seen and even Huerta had his palms up because Machida wouldn't fight. If Machida ever fought a fighter with a similiar style as him, no one would engage each other. Granted he did a much better job of attacking Silva, but Silva walked right into Machida's kicks and punches.

Machida never fought Huerta, they are different weight classes. Perhaps you are confusing Huerta with Tito Ortiz? Or was it Rich Franklin, Stephan Bonnar, BJ Penn, Rameau Sokoudjou?

Looks like there is a investigation on GSP. One of his trainers allegedly rubbed vaseline on his chest and back between rounds. If true, that would have give him a big advantage over triangle choke happy Penn when on the ground. Don't know if it would have changed the outcome. Sheer domination.

They already went over it. There was an official that wiped off any vaseline on the body.
