2008 m5 electrical short no dash lights

was trying to track down a electrical short pulled a couple of fuses next thing I knew had list my dash lights and all indicators where to begin to fix dash and how the hell do I track down this short in the electrical ?

new here I have a 2006 530xi wagon

trying to identify if there is a difference in rims stamped with these numbers 7.5J x 17 EH 2 with the different suffixes "IS43" and "IS20"
