E60 535D LCI new battery
Hi,
I had to replace the battery on my 535D LCI. I only did the registration with Bimmerlink. The old battery was 90 Ah AGM and the new one is OEM 92 Ah AGM. Do I need to code it or it is ok only that I did the registration of the new one with Bimmerlink? Thank you! |

you need to code everytime you change your battery but i dont think the ecu will allow you to change it to 92 ah, and 90ah is pretty similar,
i just changed mine yesterday from 110ah to 95ah, and i had to code to 90ah because it wont allow me to set 95ah using ncs expert, no in your case i dont think you need to code to 92 ah since is pretty similar, i would check in any case with ncs expert that the last battery was coded to 90 ah |

Thanks for the answer. Bimmerlink detected in the ECU a 90 AGM. I used the option to register a new battery and that was all. I don t have access to another tool for the moment but will watch the voltage and charging state from Bimmerlink, if it is not working properly I will try to code it
