Can someone help me with this sound?!?

Hello all, just recently purchased a 2010 535i xDrive and after a few days of ownership, I have began to notice above 4,000 RPM the car makes a sort of whining sound. I’m not sure what it is but I reckon it to be a Chargepipe issue of some sort. The car did throw an engine malfunction light and said power loss. However, I turned the car off and back on and the code disappeared. Anyone have any insight on what this issue might be? Thanks Guys.

To start, Plug in an OBD2 reader and check the fault codes.

I second mweine... Or just go to an AutoZone and have read the code with their obd reader.
