We went out to dinner at one of our favorite tasting restaurants on Saturday- avoiding the crowds that will be out tonight.

I live in another state from her for another year, so just making sure she has the best flowers in the office is my only goal.

My wife's BD is on 12th and we usually go skiing in Vermont that week. The same recurring VD gift for both of us. This year we planned to drive back home on 12th, but I offered to get on the road on Friday afternoon so we can have dinner at home. She agreed on one condition: I have to cook short ribs. Challenge accepted and we had a wonderful evening with family and friends.

It's 27 years for us, 2/14 is just another hallmark holiday. However, for 20 years, I've made sure my daughters had a valentine. This year, they're both in college and neither will get flowers and candy then have dinner with dad.

Instead some boy will likely bring them a $3 bouquet from the campus store and try to jump them.... boys are disgusting

Since it's falling on a Monday this year we'll skip the restaurant dinner and stay at home.

A card, a small arrangement and a bar of her favorite chocolate. Since we're staying in, I'll bake a salmon filet with lemon and capers, a side of sautéed spinach and some roasted potatoes. She'll get the pick of films tonight which will probably be some rom-com or Hallmark romance then she'll fall asleep on the couch and I'll carry her to bed.

I put some flowers by the coffee machine last night after everyone went to bed, some chocolate covered strawberries for (mostly) the kids to enjoy.

I also sent some chocolate covered strawberries to my mom, Dad died in 2006.

Other than that, just running the kids to their afterschool activities.

We went out for dinner last night. Restrictions just eased up so we were able to go eat out finally. I love cooking for myself, but it's been 6 months. :\
I had slow roasted bison ribs & husband had salmon. Dessert was a chocolate dome over chocolate caramel cake, with hot caramel / whiskey sauce poured over top. I am glad they don't serve that on the regular. Made it to the 'best desserts ever list' in my books.

We're not 'huge' either on valentine's day, but we'll still do a dinner. My spouse was home from the field, so that's a reason to celebrate even.

Wife just texted me and wants to go out to dinner tonight. We have been celebrating all weekend. I was trying to deflect and tell her it's going to be packed anywhere we go...so we will see how that goes.. lol

My experience has been you have to place reservations a month before Valentine's Day if you wanna go anywhere decent

Yup, same here. We live in Cincinnati and were doing fun Cincinnati things all weekend, spending quality time together and had all of our family over last night for the SB. We already did the whole gift thing this past weekend.

Im good with going but she was fine with not going out a few days ago for Vday since we had a fun filled weekend together with our daughter.

I ordered a six-pack of Bombas, but once they arrived about 10 days ago, I had to give them to her. She's been eyeing the ones I bought myself.
Had a six-pack of those roses that are supposed to last for a year scheduled for delivery today at her work, but the tracker says they were delivered right before she left on Friday. No hint of acknowledgement yet.
She left a card on my shoes this morning, and also one for our son on the kitchen table. Since son/gf made SB fixins yesterday, there are still 2 sirloins that should be well seasoned to drop on the BBQ in a few hours.

Happy VD Day!!!

I like to pick out my own arrangement when buying flowers. Picked these out to give my daughter for her first Valentine's Day (She's 5 months old).

Grabbed some pizza we've been wanting for a long time for lunch then dropped off flowers to my mom.

Happy Vday!
