What is the weirdest food you've every eaten?
I tried some chocolate covered grasshoppers when I was in 6th grade. But that might be in 2nd place.
1st place goes to the submarine look alike sandwich I bought from roadside vendor in Vietnam. I thought it was pork, but later learned it was dog meat.

Although not overly weird, but certainly an acquired taste is Pigs Pudding, the real McCoy from Scooooortland.
Probably the weirdest food I have eaten.

Not together, fried cod sperm and horse sashimi.
One of those things you eat, don't like very much. Then learn what they are and decide once was enough.

Balut, when I was in PI (Subic Bay).
Google it at your own peril. Vile, that was.

LOL. Yeah you might be the champ. To this day I remember reading an article many years ago in Men's Fitness magazine (I think) and it was about one of the fittest and toughest former Marines to ever live and he said the ONLY thing that made him ill was Balut.

I'm relatively conservative about what I eat. I've seen some very weird food, especially on some roadside carts in Korea. But about the weirdest thing I've ever eaten was ostrich steaks. And they were quite good. Closer to beef than to poultry.

I always think about this actually. Like, it's so culturally engrained in us what we eat and what's gross or not (Western culture) that if we weren't accustomed to it, ground beef would be absolutely disgusting. Just the visual of raw ground beef would be enough to send anyone over the edge if we didn't all grow up on it.
With that said, I eat conservative also so my answer is Balut |

Did you try Dinuguan? It's a dish of Pig's Blood and its great over rice. My personal favorite is Kare Kare, which is Ox tail and tripe with Peanut Butter sauce. Mix it with Bagoóng, a paste of fermented shrimp eggs. Out side of Philippine dishes, I've had Sea Urchin gonads straight out of a live urchin, which is buttery and delicious. Bird's Nest soup is also good, despite being made of bird spit. Snails are delicious in French cuisine Things I tried but didn't like: Goat - meh Shark's Fin soup, I didn't mind it, but I didn't love it, and it isn't worth finning a shark for.
