There's no legal grounds for a federal mask mandate, based on everything I've read.

I agree but I understand his plan is to get governors to implement one in each state, and when a governor won’t do it, go down to mayors to get them to do it. I expect things to get even more contentious than they have been.

Governors and mayors implementing measures are, by definition, not federal mandates, though. For example - we already have them in MI. In the city of East Lansing, there is a mask mandate even when you're outside - thanks to the dumb, drunk college kids. That's obviously not a result of Trump or any sort of federal mandate. |

My parents delayed their Europe trip this year.
Me personally I traveled to six different countries and ten different (new for me) states. I doubt any year of my life will have been this eventful |

Decision re summer Olympics should be a good indication if countries are on the path to open up and we all can start making travel plans, or the shitshow continues.

I know a few major companies you'd recognize are NOT opening their offices, officially, until mid 2021. That said, the vaccine is a complete ace in the hole - and they don't care and are not banking on it. Not even a little.
I'm a coach in the tech product world and I use to travel every single week. That all hard-stopped in March and I've literally watched teams burn themselves out so hard due to the 100% WFH. "IT'S SO GREAT" said everyone 6 months ago... now it's becoming so incredibly draining - work is home, home is work, all the time, all day. And oh, let's throw in fires, vietnam style body count covid numbers, the shitbox election, a bunch of "friends" being jackasses, and now the holidays. TADA! You're tapped out for 2020. We got 45+ days to go. Seriously, check on people. A LOT. If nothing else, that will inhibit 2021s rush back to full tilt. People are going to need time off, AWAY FROM ANY KIND OF WORK. Time to reconnect with people and places (that kick ass restaurants and the two wait staff that take care of you - hopefully still there), to go rebuild relationships they f'ed up, etc. It was easy to destroy, shut out, ignore others and hiding behind a computer - now you have to go look at those people and say "sorry, I screwed up", myself included. It'll take time to rebuild that so I think 2021 for humans, will be a year of interpersonal healing. On the business side, I don't think 2021 will be a ...recovery, but more of a take over. Pairing of what we've learned plus how things were before - I do think there's opportunity for some of those who HAVE been making changes, getting better, innovating (real innovation, not bs checkbox stuff) to take over during Q2 of 2021. Some companies have said "ok fine, we'll change" and others have said "we'll survive it and be fine". Grab the
