I actually kind of like it after the initial confusion wore off. Maybe Tesla is playing the long game here and trying to bring back coach builders. Buy a rolling chassis and then a body to go with it.

A coworker has a new Model S but put the original grill on it from the early Model S. Looks so much better, the Keanu Reeves mouthless look is just stupid for the sake of stupid.

Why would you buy this eleventh hour pinewood derby inspired truck, when the Rivian is coming out next year...? I wouldn't ever consider paying $40k for the BASE truck, let alone $70k.

Yeah most everyone could not believe this was really it, and the unbreakable windows breaking on the reveal is an epic fail.

Will they sell any? Sure to the tech bro millionaires, the look at me crowd, or mall crawler Rubicon types. But to 99% of truck buyers they will not even consider it.

It will just add to Tesla's losses. I am actually betting that based on the massive negative feedback, they will tweak the looks some between now and when it goes into production in late 2021, early 2022, late 2022, you know Tesla guesstimates.

No real truck people are going to buy this.

This is for tech nerds and celebrities who want to flex on society. Pure and simple.

After seeing that horrible truck and presentation, I am 100% rooting for Rivian, I really hope they succeed because honestly their products seem very cool!

When BMW announces a new product it seems you can almost buy it the next day. Tesla, on the other hand, often takes years.

Glad I sold their stock months ago. Down 5% today, likely due to this embarrassment of a truck. Always been a Tesla lover but it’s lessening daily.

this is literally what Hummer tried to do. Make it large and as obnoxious as possible so people notice you. I'm sure they'll offer it in a bunch of bright colors.

I think it's in brushed aluminum (stainless steel ?) only from the factory floor and u can have it wrapped by Tesla in any way u want.

Perplexed - that's my initial impression. Hollywood may consider it for the next "Mad Max" dystopian apocalypse movie.

Tesla has certainly achieved something special here. Diversify ugliness. We now have the Platypus 3, Tylenol S, Aztek X and Total Recall truck.

Well at least with the angular straight edges, gap issues should be eliminated.... one would hope.
It's amazing seeing the defenses from the Tesla fanboys. If it were from BMW or any other mfg, it be instant firing for the design team.

Rivian is the truck and SUV Tesla should have made. This will give them a boost now that they see Tesla has nothing on the roadmap. Did they show the frunk?

Some of the tech sounds impressive, but damn, is it hideous looking. I wasn't too keen on the design of the Rivian truck and SUV, but next to this thing they look fantastic and more functional.
