We tour the new PS.Speicher Museum...
PS.Speicher Museum Tiedexer Tor 3 37574 Einbeck (Entrance to the parking lot via Jahn road) Tel: +49 55 61 / 92 32 00 Fax: +49 55 61 / 92 32 02 82 E-mail: entdeckung@ps-speicher.de Without a doubt, the PS.Speicher Museum is one of Germany's best private owned auto/motorcycle museums, that I have had the pleasure of visiting! It is that nice! I highly recommend visiting! Let me back track, in stating that this museum just opened up this past May, 2015. Everything is new and restored. The building was a Granary, used to store farmer's grain in the surrounding area. The building was in use from 1898 until 2000. Then in the last ten or so years... the "seeds" of thought for an automotive and motorcycle museum began to take hold. The Museum opened its doors at the beginning of this year(2015) in May. The six story Einbeck Granary lives on, its all of its glory - just with a different purpose. I had first heard about the PS Speicher, last year. But I really wasn't sure what to make of it. In German, Speicher means "memory"... so I wasn't that convinced it was a place for me to look more into. I was wrong, it was definitely, my kind of "museum". Even their name sounded funny, and they don't really use the word "museum" to describe themselves. But that's what they are; an Auto & Motorbike Museum of the highest standard! It was back in October, when I visited the inaugural Berlin Motorworld Classics oldtimer show that I ran into the people that run the PS.Speicher Museum. They assured me I would be very pleased with their "little" Museum. So the very next chance I had, I drove North some ~400 kms to have a look for myself. It was well worth it! Here is a link to that classic car show in Berlin... MotorWorld Classics in Berlin... http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1185648 I really wasn't sure what to expect when I got to PS.Speicher. It's located up in Northern Germany - not one of my favorite parts of Germany. But I was intrigued. So off I drove some 400 kms to see what "jewels" they had. Like I said... I was not disappointed! I must say, that I really enjoyed this museum - alot! It has a "nice" feel to it. I especially liked the East vs West German displays of motor bikes and cars from the '50's and 60's. You will see lots of cars/bikes you probably have never heard of before. That's cool. It's cool seeing something you have never seen before. Being able to inspect and admire it. What I found even more to my liking was how the Museum set up the cars and bikes - back in those days. In these really well thought out dioramas. There is plenty of "other" stuff besides cars and bikes in this museum - and that is really cool. Its like a time machine - taking you back to those days. I think many of our wives(GF's or significant others) will enjoy this museum! The museum also has a very nice restaurant and an awesome gift shop! The chocolate tools and gears were really cool! I just HAD to buy some of those!! Ok enough of me talking... here are my pictures of the PS.Speicher... This museum would make for a good pit stop up on your way to Hamburg/Hanover/Wolfsburg/Berlin. Dackel PS.Speicher Museum...

Man, so many photos. Thank you very much for sharing!
They have a lot of cars I never saw before and even got a BMW C1 there. Which in a way turns my own garage into a museum too (though my C1 is red) liebe Grüße & best regards -- Lefty de Vito |

A cool video on this Museum. Sorry it's in German audio... but just click on the CC and select English cc's under the settings tab/gear.
