Galaxy Note 7 Recall comingl! Batteries EXPLODING!?!

Ouch for Samsung. Everyone has hailed the 7 as a masterpiece. Now everyone needs to send theirs back in before it explodes. Wowzers.

Be happy you didn't get the new Note 7! Wow. Crazy.

Yeah, I'm still looking at options and waiting for the iPhone 7 to come out just to see. So...we have phones that explode or have touch screen disease. Apple now has a class action lawsuit against them for this.

I wouldn't hold your breath on the iPhone 7. All rumors point to more of a hardware refresh with no significant packaging changes. More like another "S" version. Everyone is speculating that next year they will skip the "7S" revision and go straight to an iPhone 8 which has some interesting rumored features surrounding it.

Several confirmed using provided official charger.

Others reported significant heat without even charging it.

Which will go nowhere. The "touch disease" is affecting Iphone 6 Plus (primarily) which are now 2 years old. It sucks, but the Note 7 is a brand new phone causing a real hazard to its owners.

What "packaging" changes are you looking for exactly? The Note 7 essentially looks the same as a Note 4 with a better screen and slightly more "edgeless" in its displays.

Sorry, but all these "new design" wants are really people that don't know what they want. Current design of both Samsung and Apple is good and the changes needed are more space, faster processors, more ram, better graphics, better camera, etc.

Well I have been watching here: http://www.macrumors.com/roundup/iphone-8/

I like the idea of an OLED edgeless screen. I have been hoping they could perfect a sapphire crystal display as well which would make the thing damn near bullet-proof. Contactless charging would be nice.

I think I am different than most consumers though. I don't give a flying crap about camera specs and processors and space are not an issue for me. What I really want is a good, reliable, handset to use on the go. I don't play games or do much intensive work on my phone.
