He's probably off banging some tinder chick.

...slow night for me.

Saturday night tv sucks.

And ok, mr athlete- im trying to get into the 500 lb club for deadlifts. Currently at 475. Incrementing 10 lbs a week. I've already done two deadlift sessions this week- tomorrow is an optional rest day. (1 every 13 days is mandatory, every 6 has an option to take off)

Should I add a third day if my back feels fine already from Thursday's session?

I was up to 455 at one point. Do some deficit deadlifts for a few weeks and you'll easily get to 500!

How long did you do deficits for?

I switched up from conventional to sumo for about 4 weeks and it helped me jump from 425x4 to 475x1 in that amount of time!

Something about that illustrious 500 lb club just seems so... Motivating

500 does sound good! I did them for 3 weeks or so. I prob gained 20 on my Max, although I didn't do a max much. I stuck to 3-5 reps. I think I got up to 425x5 after that 3 weeks.

Now I'm just fat. Need a goal to get motivated for!

Depending on where your fail point is, partial deadlifts may be good as well! Do you struggle more at the bottom, or locking out?

Max reps are satisfying yet scary all in the same. 475 has me seeing stars- and after I drop the weight, I almost always have to kneel down cause you know that lightheaded feeling takes over!

I'm definitely going to try em tomorrow. Start off with 225 deficits, and if it's too easy, go up to 315.

Hahaah you're living the dream though! Once I land myself a good cutie, I'm letting myself go

Definitely at the bottom, the initial jerk.

Once I have it past my knees- it's easy lifting. I've yet to clip a lock out.

But countless "failures" to even move the weight beyond a few inches. That's why I think you're right that the deficit deadlifts will help out.

Start with a small deficit and work you way up the way you would with weight. They definitely feel different!

I'm gonna do some deadlifts tomorrow too! Got me inspired

Good way to let out the frustration.

Deficits for sure then! Focus on those for a while and see how high you can go in a couple weeks!

Last chick I was talking to ended up having 2 kids. Found that out after a month into it. Cute girl, but I don't want that baggage, or to find out through the grapevine.

I've accepted I will never beat you at foosball, and we only played a few times.

I'll still play because it's fun, but billiards is a tich more equal. So next it looks like it'll be putt putt competition and a competition at the shooting range.
