Didn't watch the race yet but Ive seen the results.

As I said around early this year. Hungaoring was one circuit ferrari had a little better than slim chance of winning. (I will link the post later).

Of course spa and monza will be mb-amg dominated again.....

Missed the race.
How did Alonso look? did he just inherit position or did he have speed ?

Really happy to see good points for both McLarens.

I was dancing around the house when I saw Ham passing Ros as he left the pits after the puncture.
I hate arrogance and Ros epitomizes that.
Great race and good to see Ferrari getting their stuff together.
Looks like Mercedes needs to work on their starts as it is a weakness that Ferari can capitalize on

Yes Ferrari had more of chance on this F1 go kart track.

But lets be real. Hamilton was .7 sec quicker than Vettel and 1 sec quicker than Kimi in qualifying. Lewis had the pace to make this race snoozefest like the others, he just got a bad start and drove off the track on the first lap.

Alonso took advantage of the SC which closed the gap with the midfielders (was 10th or just outside the pts at the time - not exactly sure).

However, the were so many incidents from there on out - RAI retirement, (several drive through penalties - HAM/ROS) etc. etc. that he starts to get bumped up from 10th.. 8th... 6th.. and finally 5th.

Had some nice coverage of him going wheel to wheel w/ Sainz in the TR at some point. He showed some speed but nothing to challenge the usual suspects (Ferrari, Merc, RB).. HAM would've passed him had the race gone on for another lap.

For sure Mercedes in still dominate and I'm sure they will be back at it, at Spa. In this race, if the safety car didn't come out, Benz had no chance.

To bad for Kimi, I would have loved to see a Ferrari 1 2.

That was a tremendous race. To those of you that have only seen the results, you're only getting 1/3 of the story. You should try and watch the race.

sure was interesting lol

props to Vettel for staying out of trouble unlike the rest of the field, clean, smooth drive by him. Also, Alonso finishing 5th, pretty cool, I'm happy for him, its been a rough year

Most entertaining race without rain this year I think. So many different battles and issues up and down the field minus SV. McLaren seemed to have pretty good race pace, lets hope this is a continuing thing. I really liked what the drivers did before the race for JB. Rosberg and Hammy both need to chill, sucked to see Rosberg get a flat right there, props to LH for a great comeback. I prefer watching him work his way through the field than him leading a race and then just saving the car and himself for a couple hot laps.

Can't wait for Spa and Monza (two of my top 5 races on the schedule), the second half of the season should be thrilling.

Epic Race.
I have to admit, Seb is ace. Somehow I feel he is in the mix for the drivers WC.

^
Umm no.

His car was .7 sec slower in quali. On a track that favored the cars down on straight line speed.

Sure, and Lewis will probably win the drivers WC again.

But Seb is only 42 points behind with 9 races to go and Merc have a problem with the start.
