Wisconsin? I'll pass. I forgot that was even a state.
For me it is a good area in Florida. I have already lived there before in a somewhat small area compared to atleast Orlando. The great weather, things to do especially if you live somewhat close to Orlando and everything make it a good choice. New Hampshire, for the quiet setting. There are some very nice areas. Also a lot of shopping in some areas. Boston, This may be due in part to the fact that I go to Boston almost everyday for schooling and have gone many times beforehand. But Boston is a great city. A lot to do, great buildings, great food. Weather is decent even for Mass. Only bad point for Boston is you will need to get a place with atleast 1 other person and that will still cost you about $1,000 a month. But well worth it in my opinion.

i'd have to rank Santa Barbara, CA as one of my favorite places to live. I lived there for school and although it is expensive, it's not a bad place to live overall.
It's next to the ocean, minutes away from mountains and a short drive up to the lake. It's only 90min from LA so if you wanted to go into the city, you're not that far. Air quality is great and there are numerous things to do if you like the outdoors. Restaurants are great and the people there are alot friendlier than most. Weather is in between LA and SF. A little warmer than SF but not as hot as LA. IMHO I want to retire there one day. |

San Diego, I think.... Climate is perfection, lifestyle is relaxed, women are beautiful... and there's Tijuana just a jog south if you want to go really crazy.

San Francisco. You can get to one end of the city to the other in less than 15 minutes with the two great highways we have connecting the city together. Plus we have a wide variety of everything. Wither it be nature, or city life...you can find it all here. Some examples, Twin Peaks mountains (right smack in the middle of the city, can view all of SF there), Beach, Zoo, Scenic drives, Fisherman's Wharf.
Plus there's always something going on now. Concerts at Golden Gate Park, Festivals in Chinatown, plus I LOVE the weather. 60-70 degree weather all year around! Fog at times, but when it's sunny with a cool breeze (which is most of the time), that's what makes the city so great. Foster City is also good, great community of friendly people.

That's not SB, that the point in Ventura!
SB was the BEST 4-year vacation (UCSB) I ever had! There's a reason these places (SB, SD, FL) are so expensive, they ar a great place to live. SB is a little chillier, on average, than I like. I'd probably pick one of those san's north of SD to avoid some of the crowds. |

I'm rather partial to Old England, myself, but that doesn't qualify.

Yeah, and I think that (Holiday Inn?) has been retrofitted for the quakes, so it's sorta safe to be in when the liquifaction occurs. I live about 7 miles south on 101 from there.

I guess for some it wouldnt be an option but for me bad weather is everywhere. Milton, MA really is a good area. Right next to Boston, very nice houses and community. Just very snobby. The other places I can't say.
