Computer keeps freezing - can anyone help?
Basically I had Windows 7 installed but I moved to XP and now the system keeps freezing randomly and I need to restart. I can't open task manager or anything. It happens randomly sometimes when I'm on websites or youtube etc. I'm in safe mode at the moment and it seems to be fine so far.
Here's what I've done so far: - Installed XP SP3 - Installed motherboard drivers for chipset, LAN, audio and VGA. - Installed graphics card drivers. - Installed windows updates for .net framework etc. - Ran memtest for about 6 hours found no errors with RAM. - Ran diagnostic for harddrive from manufacturer website (no errors). - Ran HWmonitor and temperatures seem fine so no overheating issues. I'll post screenshot later. - I even disabled graphics card and I ran onboard VGA but same problem. My system: Gigabyte GA G31M ES2L motherboard Intel Core Duo E4700 @ 2.6GHz 1GB RAM DDR2 ATI Radeon HD 3450 512MB

Have you checked the event viewer yet to see if you are getting any errors?
