hey e90post! just wanted to share something i hold pretty near and dear to me, that i've been working on the past 2 years. as some of you who came across my video/photoshoot i did with rich kids clothing and carrozzeria motorsports, it was my testing phase for the demographics to come together.

the car scene is next to nothing here in the northwest. It's not that the car scene isn't existent, it is simply because no one is willing to make something happen on a larger scale. myself and two of my business partners officially licensed "the Camp LLC". it's an organization that will hold an annual, end-of-summer festival event where we bring together Clothing. Automotive. Music & Performance. Deemed appropriately, the Camp.

The aftermarket brick & mortar presence is very very minimal. if you want a place to get your tires stretched, you typically need a connect to someone who does it out of their garage. Everything is so disconnected out here. So my goal with the C.A.M.P. is to connect the community to the local homegrown businesses that fall within cars, clothes, music/performance.

The car events out here are worth no more than an hour of your time. cars park up, people walk around, and leave. there's no sense of "community" on a larger media supported scale. we're making this an all day event. the first half being a hand selected, 60-car car show, food trucks, 40+ local small businesses (from local clothing brands, to dance schools and academy's, to those that stretch tires & do vinyl wraps), live music & other small family friendly activities. in the evening, those that bought tickets, move into the auditorium where we have a handful of dance crews from vancouver to california, who will put on a 1.5 hour dance showcase.

two of my boys, business partners, the TTwins. most of you know Terrence aka Tmacksway on the local NW forums. They wrapped up dancing as Macklemore's dancers, now their schedule is free and things are poppin off. local major radio station, Movin' 92.5 is showing the Camp some love and coming out to support the event and really spread the word with what we're trying to do in Seattle.

My goal is to next year hold, the Camp | Portland, and bring together the car, dance, and clothing scene x local homegrown oregonian businesses that cater to them.

appreciate that!! around here, people love to plan. as many times as i've shot cars and being around the culture in socal, there's so much i've been able to take back to the drawing board up here. sure, the rain sucks, but there are so many other elements that can make for an amazing "festival" if you will. so i said fuck it. register it as a business and capitalize on it.
