Pedal Haus Front License Plate Mount, M-Perf Lip, IND Painted Reflectors Installed
Got my M-Performance lip, IND painted reflectors, and Pedal Haus Quick-Release No Holes license plate mount installed at EAS the other day.
Living in California means a front license plate is required, but I didn't want to drill into my bumper. This is where the Pedal Haus no holes license plate mount comes into play. The mount installs where your tow hook would go, so there is NO drilling needed at all (the "No Holes" part). With just a screwdriver and a couple wrenches, I was able to install it myself in a few minutes. The plate mount itself is highly adjustable (left-right, up-down) so it will fit many different BMWs. Personally, I think it looks great and is definitely better than getting a ticket for no front plate. You can find the mount on European Auto Source's website or you can call/PM them directly for it. The IND painted reflectors can be seen in the last photo, which I also got from EAS. Definitely cleans up the front of the car without that glaring amber reflector being there anymore. In fact, the amount of people mentioning how ugly the reflectors were has now gone down to 0. The install does require the fender liner to be removed, so it definitely isn't for everyone to install themselves. Lastly, the M-Performance lip really fills out the front end and makes it more aggressive. I opted to keep it matte black as I like how it makes the car look more "race-inspired." |

Looks great! Just FYI for others on the painted reflectors, I followed their DIY and did not have to remove the liner. Just turn wheel full lock, undo three screws then pull the liner out to get your hand back there. I was nervous at first but it's very flexible. If you pull the far tab (closest to nose of car) towards rear while pushing out it will come out, with the angle it was a little difficult to grab both, pinch and push.

Would like to know too. If it does, can you adjust it so it doesn't? The guys at US Mill Works said theirs would block the parking sensors so looking for alternatives..

If I remember correctly, they were 45%.

Wheels are VMR V705 18x8 +45 all around. Here's an old pic showing the wheels a bit better (you can see the painted reflectors making a huge difference compared to this): |

Nice!
I saw that someone else on the forums was able to get the US Mill Works license plate holder to work on their F22 w/o setting off the parking alarms, so I sprung for the kit, even though their website clearly states it won't work with parking sensors. http://usmillworks.com I learned some things. I got the lightened version with the quick release, thinking I would take it off for car washes, etc. Like many others have stated, this plate frame is built VERY well. Grade A components. Nothing here is going to get bent easily. Everything perfectly fitted as well. I won't go into the details of how to install it as their videos do an excellent job of this. I installed the plate frame with quick release as close to the bumper as I could and as far away from the parking sensors as possible. It looked great. Then I drove with it. OUCH! Every time I backed out of the driveway, the sensor shows red and the annoying alarm goes off. Plus the warning signal doesn't turn off until you're in Drive and going about 10 mph, so this was a real drag for a few weeks. Passengers in my car were looking at me as this annoying alarm stayed on. Pissed me off, because I liked how the plate looked and the quality was top drawer. So I spent this Sunday playing with it for about an hour in all different positions and offsets (up high, down low, canted to the left or right). Some of them did better or worse but none of them would eliminate the warning light/alarm. Finally looked straight down on it and determined that the quick release shoe/cleat were pushing the plate out from the bumper an extra couple mm. I wondered if the quick release mount could be removed and if the plate could just bolt right on to the mount directly. It worked! I was able to swivel the mount so I could get the plate very close to the bumper. Maybe about 1/4" away. It's mounted very firmly, so I'm not worried at all about it rattling against the bumper and chipping any paint. And I really don't think an automated car wash will budge this thing. I'll keep an eye on it for a few weeks and if I see any troubles, I'll report back, but I'm really happy with the clean look and sturdy mount. HTH |

And did you reuse the stock 225/245 staggered tires? Just wondering why you went with a square 8" wheel setup. Thanks! |

I re-used the stock tires. The rear fender clearance was too tight for a wider wheel without either rubbing on the fender or contacting the shock dust boot. |

The M performance lip, did you install yourself? Also is it just 3m tape that holds it or did you need to screw it on?
Looks so good and make the car more aggressive looking. Definitely wanting that when I order my car. |

I had EAS install it, but it is installed with both 3M tape and screws as far as I know.

Loving the new front lip, M235 is coming together nicely.
Here's a shop of your M235 @ Bimmerfest: We're excited to see the Pedal Haus license plate kits making such a big impact (especially at Bimmerfest), the M3 crowd has been very happy with these. It keeps everything legal, without being obtrusive.
