07 328i Audio Upgrade
Hello fellow Bimmer drivers!
I am new to this forum and have used the search function but I want to make sure I have everything correct before I start up my process. Ok, details of the car is an 07 328i Sedan with the Hifi system, no bluetooth I am going to take out the radio and replace it with a Pioneer Avic-z140BH Double din I will be adding subs in a couple of weeks too. So I have the stereo, I have the METRA 95-9306B dash kit, I dont have heated seats in the car I have the wiring harness, I believe I need one more part to get the steering wheel controls to work. I currently have the PAC SWI-RC. The only thing I am missing are the door and rear speakers.. I hear they are 4' speakers but I have only seen 1 post to confirm that. Can anybody confirm with this?? I will be putting in an aftermarket amp to run these. will the Pioneer TS-G1044R fit the car?? Any assistance is appreciated |

You are better off using this harness.
http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/bmw-1...n-support.html I wouldn't use pioneer speakers. Take a look at the stickies. |

That's an interesting Steering wheel harness, I like it.
as for the speakers, I am not really looking into buying anything too fancy, just the basic stuff to get decent sound. |

Most of the problem is fitment.
Most of the problem is fitment.
The spaces for speakers are shallow. That's why you should stick to the list in the following thread. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343673 Because the stock Hi Fi speakers are 2 ohm if you put 4 ohm speakers in you cut the already meeger power of the Hi Fi amp in half. |

I put in JL all in the front (Hi-Fi) it sounds great. ZR tweeters and C5-400 mids, powered by JL XD600/6 and have the under seat subs powered as well. No need for another sub. I like quality of loudness so that's why I don't need another sub. Just my 2 cents

Alright I stuck with the stock speakers and changed the amp to a 4 channel sound magus amp. Speakers sounds good for being stock, the stereo is still the one I mentioned.
Currently running a sound magus mono amp powering up 2 12' jl subs. These subs are temporary, I just had them laying in the backyard. Im going to get a custom blowthrough box with 1 10' sub. |
