To tint or not to tint ?

Thinking of getting tints done but can't make up my mind. All windows done and light smoke through the fronts. What do use think ? Also any pics of black e90 with tints would be much appreciated. Thanks

Sure, I think a light tint (30- 50%) would seal the deal.

Too dark and it might ruin it, just my opinion

I drove my car for about a year without tint with some exterior mods and I loved it. But I tinted eventually because I just can't take the heat during summer time. Without tint, my face is on FIRE by the time I arrived home. I almost feel like I will get skin cancer without tint, lol....

I said 50% because if OP even had to ask, he's probably not a fan of super dark tint. So 50% is probably dark enough for him. Now, if that were my car, I'd do 30%.

since you have a black car with black interior i say go a little on the lighter side. the black interior will make the tint appear darker to. i say 35-45 would be good

35% or 40%. Too dark looks a little trashy.

I say tint it. It looks so sharp on black cars and white as well. Not so much of a fan of tint on most other colors. Honestly I wouldn't go any higher than 25 or maybe 30% at the lightest. It's hardly even noticeable at 35% or above and you'll feel like you wasted money.

Also keep in mind that different brands have variations in darkness when comparing equal % to %. I've always had 20% 3M done on previous cars but this time
I went with Llumar's ATF15 (15%) on my black sapphire metallic e92 and LOVE it. Ironically, a cop talked me into going darker. Funny story about that actually (check my posts). If 15 is too dark for you I would recommend Llumar ATF20 which is actually 25%. It's weird I know. Not sure why they do that and neither did the tint shop owner.

I'm not a fan of tint. However, if I were to tint my car, I'll go with 50%. I would get OEM blacklines before tints.

Ps: Not offended at all. Just a bold opinion/statement. I think it's usually other types of mods that can make a car appear that way. But a black bimmer with dark tint and otherwise all oem is not trashy by any means.

I have 5% and I enjoy it. Probably would recommend 25% though.

Is your 2nd pic w/out tint or is it just the angle?
