Wow, the 330 sounds awesome stock and he wasn't even full throttling it on those outside shots. Did the older 330 sound this good stock, or they improved on it?

I love how the floating angel eye halos look! I'm assuming per US DOT standards, the clear reflectors won't reach US specs.

Yep, look at the pics of the E90 at the NY Auto Show - orange reflectors Hopefully they'll be easy to remove.

True. They look integrated with the whole assembly though. Damn, I'll have to remember insisting on my dealer to get the Euro spec ones when I purchase my e90.

Hell yeah, if they want your business. I bet they can even throw in a matching set of leather pants to go with the interior if they wanted to. It's always good to have a European brochure with you to let them know two things:

1. The option you want DOES exist.
2. The car is 90% manufactured in Europe (predicted). So don't tell me they don't have the part there.

Why does the US version have amber reflectors? I always wondered that. It looks miles better with clear ones.

because of our traffic laws. They require orange reflectors in the front of the car. Most car companies including BMW just put orange front blinkers to accomidate the law. You can get around it though, BMW decided to put clears onto the E46 coupes and M3s, and to satiate the US law, they put orange reflectors into the front bumpers. I'm assuming BMW would do something like that again with the E90 coupes, since it will have a more 'stylish' and 'sporty' look to it in the stock form they might want to give it clears standard.

Funny thing is, Ive seen cars in other countries where the sport models come standard with clears, the owners dropped ambers in.. I guess its all about doing something different then stock

For me I think smoked would look the best, clears second best, and orange third

Has anyone tried this? I really like the clear lenses, but I have a feeling the dealer won't order them.

Also, just because a person has a european brochure doesnt guarantee that you can get the option on the U.S. version. Otherwise they would have made a single brochure world wide.

For example, I am unsure if front/rear camera's are avaiable as well as front parking distance in the US as they are in Europe.

Yet, I still have hope that the clear lens can be made available.

Nah I don't think they'll allow you to get that as an option at purchase. U'll probably be able to order it from dealer later or from plenty other place that sells DTM OE parts. The US dept or transportation doesn't care that something like amber reflectors makes the car look worse
