Real Time Traffic Information

My RTTI quit working a week ago.
I called BMWNA to find out about any possible outage in my area. No known issues or complaints from other BMW owners.

I took it to the dealer for this and a different issue and got a loaner.
The loaner's RTTI is not working either.

Anyone in SoCal area experiencing similar issues?

I didn't even know we had that. The few times I tried the Traffic tab on the Nav, the info seemed rather useless.

It's a life saver for me in LA area.

It shows congested areas on the freeway. Yellow, Orange and Red codes depending on the severity of the traffic condition.

Forgot to mention the traffic condition is stuck in full on traffic almost everywhere. Lots of orange color warnings everywhere.

The loaner shows absolutely nothing. Usually if there is no traffic everything is green on the new models.

I believe we have noticed the same thing. While sitting in traffic the nav doesn't show any color markings like it did not so long ago and the traffic display is on. Hmmm.

BMWNA doesn't know anything about it.
They don't know anything anyway.

Mine in Long Island doesn't work well either. I was wondering why it was messed up recently.

It works right now. We'll see if it will keep on working this week.

I have been having this problem ever since I drove the car off the lot. Isn't the Real Time Traffic pretty much useless? Not very accurate. It seems that way to me at least.

I noticed that as well in CT last week. I think it was at least 2 days that it was not working 100% - never happened before. Surprised me as I use it quite a but and was surprised when I hit traffic and it said it would be clear! Always kinda flaky though but seems to be working fine now...

It's not perfect but it does the job well. Google maps with traffic info seems to be more accurate.

I noticed this on Sunday morning 4/27/14 driving to Venice from Riverside. I was getting 5PM rush hour traffic indications, but there was no traffic. Same on the way back to Riverside. I thought it was just me.

There are 4 color warnings actually. Gray, Yellow, Orange and Red. Red being the worst traffic condition.
Play with your settings, maybe it's not activated.
