From the pics I would say it won't work from the steering wheel controls as I think you need another of the blue box type thing. These come with an aux connection USB connection and an iPhone connector. Saying that though this is a bargain as just having installed a parrot kit in my own car I can confirm that the sot lead required that is supplied with this is at least £30 so all in all a good buy for someone. Not sure if it works with the steering wheel controls but it definitely has ipod connection either via cable or bluetooth. The unit picks up eveything according to the spec! Hope this helps

Had this in my previous car, plays music crystal clear through bluetooth, if played via the ipod connector it charges your phone/ipod aswel.
Great bit of kit if i didnt have idrive/bluetooth i would have got it again.
