335i delivery issues

My new 335i MY14 was delivered on 19th December, 4 minutes after driving it off the forecourt the navigation display failed, I also notice paint chips on the fuel filler cap. The car was returned to BMW on Monday 16th December and it looks like it could take up to 6 weeks to get parts

Has anyone else been though something similar? Clearly I am livid as by the time I get the car back, it won't be considered new

Regards

Would have hoped issues like that wouldn't happen this late into a model year.

I hope you get it resolved soon. BMW should be making my 335i next month so this makes me nervous.

I hope you got a loaner in the meantime. It should be fine so long as the problems don't recur, and you don't find any more problems.

BTW I think you meant delivered 9th Dec (or <16th Dec).

Do you mean delivered on the 9th? Can't go back in time.
Why won't the car be considered new?

MarcR32, I tend to agree with the other posters, while it sucks that you got a fault and have such a long wait to replace, it's only going to be you that classes it as 'not new'.

Correct, was 9th December. 6 - 7 weeks of being in storage in the roof of BMW Sydney in 40 degree heat, with the loss of that new car smell and the baked interior and exterior is not new

The main issue is that it should not have been delivered, the fault must have been apparent at the PDI but missed as they rushed it though to get the car to me

I have loan car from the 4th Jan until my car is ready

I am still paying for a lease on a 335i fully optioned but have had no car until 4th Jan and even then I am assuming it will a lesser model
