FS - M Sport Brakes

Hi All

I have a complete set of the above to suit an F30.
I believe they require 18" wheels minimum
Asking $1000

Dealer removed due to performance brake upgrade.

Sorry to be uninformed but what does FS stand for?

So are these the brakes that would have come on your M Sport but were not fitted because you got the BBK? My M Sport does not have those brakes, just the standard looking ones.

Either way I am very interested at that price. Would you ship to Sydney if so any idea how much that might cost?

Thanks H. Well I fell like a knob!

By the way is the only difference between these and the BBK the slotted/drilled disks? Are they the same size or smaller? Really want these and I really like this colour too.

Yep,
Same size rotors, just not drilled/ slotted. And yes, I considered painting the m sport calipers red, but decided it was simpler to order the perf kit and dealer fitted.

Steve,
I have the M-Brakes (Blue Calipers) on my 335i and I'm not 100% happy with them as brake "feel" is a very personal thing. The blue M-brakes are OK, and under normal road use will definitely stop the car when asked to. However, I feel they lack a bit of initial bite, especially when going for fast runs on tight twisty roads, particularly when you want to quickly dab the brakes to balance the car and point the nose in, before accelerating around a tight bend.

If you don't mind me asking, how much were your drilled and slotted brakes, bought and fitted at the dealership? Sadly, my dealer did not give me the option of the drilled Performance Bakes when I ordered the car (even though I asked about these kind of brakes at the time of ordering). I have only found out about these since joining this forum.

Hi Steve,
I dealt with Simon @ Geelong BMW, very helpful and the guys there were happy to chase up pricing and fitting of the brakes and M performance parts.
I'd recommend them highly.
As to brake performance, my driving style won't likely use limits of this setup, but they sure look good!
Check your pm
Cheers

You're not kidding.......the brakes look exceptionally good!!
I live in Adelaide (only one BMW dealer), but I'll chase them up when I get back to Adelaide. However, I'm sure they'll charge like wounded bulls!

Thanks for the PM. I've replied to it.

Thank you! I'm glad it's not just me who feels the same. Annoyed that I'm going to have to get a proper BBK to get that feel and control now... Ah well . Has anyone tried the 135i front brakes? I'm assuming (with no evidence) they'd fit and they were great stoppers.

Oh dear. I was expecting the 335i MSport brakes to be as good as the 135 MSport brakes. Oh well, I guess I'll know tomorrow!

Before you go the BBK route, try bleeding the brakes a few times.
It worked for me. Or consider SS brake lines.

Don't waste money if you don't need to buy a BBK (tho i can't talk…)
