Alpina new B4 BiTurbo is ready and competitor for ///M4 !

Received this Email link today, and want to share it here....
It says that Alpina has the new B4 BiTurbo ready and will be the direct competitor for new ///M4 !
The numbers of the B4 BiTurbo....
410 HP and 600 NM yes.....600 NM !
0-100 km/u > 4.2 sec (best number for ///M4 is 4.3 sec.)
Topspeed > 305 km/u .
And yes, this are very nice numbers, and soon even available in XDrive version !

It looks more refined and luxury oriented than a beast that performs that well. The M looks more sportscar oriented. Kind of reminds me of the difference between a V12 mercedes and an AMG version of the same car in their looks. The power and performance in that Alpina is very impressive.

The Alpina models are like expensive tailoring like a one off suit. Not every one will have one. It will be exclusive.

The Alpina models are not sold in North America because they will directly compete with the BMW M series.

That doesn't make sense....M cars are sold in Europe and all over the world. Maybe Alpina think their cars are too sophisticated for the US market (only joking guys!)

When you take into consideration exchange rates etc Alpina is dead on the same price as the M3 etc. they will be direct challengers not like in Europe where Alpina is more of a select brand that offers that little more exclusivity.
