X1M might be on its way
http://www.autobild.de/bilder/neuer-...--4432232.html
They are also talking about the next gen X1 model (front wheel drive) and a X1M (all wheel drive standard; to compete with the Audi RS Q3) with 2L turbo and 320HP. Der Allradantrieb ist Serie in Verbindung mit den stärksten Vierzylindern und im X1M, der mit seinem hoch aufgeladenen und 320 PS starken Zweiliter-Motor den Audi RS Q3 verblasen soll. |

indeed, i hope. I was VERY disappointed when the X1 came out without a manual 6/MT. I need a AWD car if it's my only car as i do not want another garage queen if possible. I like the M235i but i do not think the M235X will be available in a manual trans....If i go RWD again i would have to have a 2nd car..will see. a X1M would be sweet....i do not track so for the road and my 700 ft driveway in the winter, it would be perfect..I like small so ..bring it on BMW.

Well the newz according to Scott is the X1M and the M2 will be 4cyl Turbo's..That said i am still down for one of these as i like "SMALL" compact cars... Wiith a 700-800 ft driveway in the woods i need AWD to get to work so may go for one of these or go the same route i have been and go M2 with a used AWD vehicle to get through the winter months. Either way i will be happy....I am just hoping that BMW does not disappoint me again and only offer a auto trans in the X1M as they did in the current X135i...Please offer the X1M in 6M/T if possible..I no folks in these small utes like auto's but i will never own another auto as my fun car so......will see.
Hard to believe i am the only one excited about the X1M......If it's done right it will be amazing.... |

Make that X1M and X2M.
BMW have green lighted the BMW X2 to join the BMW X4 and X6 in 2017.

Manual trans manual X1 would be my next car for sure! I really want a smallish SUV with AWD but don't wanna loose the fun to drive of my e46. And I want it to be manual with lots of horsepower! Can't wait! My girlfriend will probably get one too!
