BMW Service Inclusive Basic Pricing Promo 5yrs/80000 km

To those like me don't have free servicing, here is a new promo from BMW AUS for the Service Basic 3 Series $1090 covered for 5 years...

Does it sound ok?? It is definitely cheaper than servicing my Honda Accord Euro MY10 from Honda (~$750 per year! basic on service every 6 months)

Garage List
At first glance this looks like a pretty good offer.

My only concern is that I drive my car for less than 6 months a year (as I work overseas) and therefore do accumulate too many Km's per year.
however, I have always had my BMW's serviced every year, mainly to have the oil changed (my choice).

I will need to check with BMW if I can continue to do this as part of the service rather than rely on the BMW conditions which state:

"At the intervals indicated by the Vehicle’s Condition Based Service System (CBS System) or otherwise as BMW deems necessary, you will be entitled to arrange for an authorised
BMW Dealer to carry out the following scheduled service work in relation to the Vehicle during the Eligibility Period:
a) service work stipulated by BMW in the BMW Owner’s Service Booklet and applicable to the Vehicle including the supply or replacement of necessary parts and lubricants; and
b) preventative treatment as BMW considers necessary."

For BMW Service Inclusive – Basic, the cost of parts and labour for all recommended oil services and inspections as indicated by the Vehicle’s Condition Based Service System
(CBS System) are covered.
Specifically, the following items are included within BMW Service Inclusive – Basic:
• engine oil change with oil filter;
• service/replacement air cleaner, fuel filter, micro filter;
• spark plugs;
• brake fluid; and
• Vehicle Check in accordance with the BMW service booklet.

For those of you who drive clock up many km's, there is also an additional service (I'm not sure how much extra this service costs):

BMW Service Inclusive – Plus provides the same cover as BMW Service Inclusive – Basic and the following additional items:
• brake pads front and rear;
• brake discs front and rear;
• clutch (when worn); and
• windshield wiper rubbers (as part of the engine oil change, if required).

My oil hasn't been changed for almost 30000kms as BMW refuses to do so because I have the included servicing. There is a massive complaint about to exit my fingers. Took it in at 25000kms as they told me to, and they didn't do it because of the included servicing.

WTF 25,000km no oil change? There is not an oil in the world that can last that long in a turbo engine

Eh. Pretty much the oil might be changed once, twice or possibly 3 times during the offer. Not even the oil filter? Why not? Interesting.

Other parts probably once.

Sound frightfully expensive.

After my warranty expires, I'm back to my independent BMW specialist. Much better value and equally if not better service.

So what does a general service cost CBS... I haven't had my first service yet.. seems a bit too cheap to be good?! I around 12 months old now and 13,000k

They'll just follow CBS. I pay for my servicing. They could have changed mine at 15000 at my expense if they really wanted to, but still chose not to. 30000 is the schedule. In the end I changed it myself. At 30000 I'll let the dealer do it.

So I have just been advised by my dealership that I am unable to take up the BSI program as I have already had my first service.. its only applicable to vehicles prior to servicing for the first time.
I wasn't aware I had even had a proper service however apparently it was done at 10,000k, but when I look iDrive it shows nothing about servicing completed.
Has anyone else noticed this with their digital servicing log book?

Apparently none of BMW Sydney service and sales know about this. Stealer ship without reading the parent's news.

I asked him if it comes out as sludge and he admitted he wouldn't do it to his own car. I'm going to wait till this first service at 30k is done, and then I will have an independent change it in between.

Yeah I was told 25k by both the sales and service dept, hence why I was so pissed off when they said 'the computer' wouldn't allow them to conduct the service

I have just been informed by Auto Classic that I already had BSI included on my vehicle, so I am happy with that... my Idrive shows oil change in 6ks, which as I am at 14k now,puts it at about 20k for a diesel oil dump, thought that would of been around the norm?
