WillBMW M Laptimer work in au without BMW apps?

Downloaded BMW M Laptimer after creating a free us iTunes account (just logout au store and select us store, click on any free apps and download. Create a new iTunes account for payment method choose none then enter any us address. )

The question is: do au idrive have bmw apps or can we code to activate???

Would love to see whether it works or not.

I suspect you're going to be disappointed, on both accounts.

Not sure why we don't get things like BMW Assist, BMW Apps etc down here, maybe it's the old 'market is too small' excuse again.

KT, we CAN code both BMW Live and BMW online! I haven't done it personally but I know it can be done.

I can't answer your question on whether the timer would work though.

But is there any backend infrastructure to support it? Logins, userid's would need to be generated, surely? Can't see that working. But, then again, I'm a 'glass half empty' kinda guy, I know.

Might drop over to Bathurst at the end of the week, not sure yet.

I have been reading and working on this all afternoon mate, and it looks like it is not going to work. You must have BMW Apps for it to work and we can't get it without a lot of difficulty and a few hundred bucks for a FSC code.

I hope you going to go to the GP next weekend seeing as though you're going to be down there.

Just found out the FSC code for BMW Apps is around $250.

So, how bad do you want to use the lap timer KT?

What an unusual question, not sure why I would post someone else's pics?

Anyway, yes they are pictures of my car.

They are pics of BMW Online which you do not need an FSC code to operate you just need someone to code it for you.

What you do need an FSC code for though is BMW Apps which you need for the lap timer to work.

HFW003, sorry mate, didn't mean to potentially offend! I was confused between BMW Apps and BMW Online and was under the impression that you needed the FSC code door either, so when you were saying that, I assumed (silly me) that you'd used someone else's pics that had done it. Anyway, all clear now so I understand. Just trying to soak up as much info as I can before delivery.
