Update: I think BMWCA pulled it because my car has model-line deletion, so I should NOT have the M badges on the side. Looked at my VIN and it had the 3DZ (model line deletion) code, and the VIN just before mine (my VIN minus 1) did not have that code. Both cars had almost identical packages except for interior colour.
Too bad, I kinda liked it - I'm a bit of a badge purist, hate it when I see a ///M badge on the behind of a car (except for the plate frame) - but the small side badges added a touch of colour & uniqueness to the car IMHO. Other markets have it so I don't see much of a problem with it... it's not like these people are pretending they drive M3's On that note, saw a red F30 Sport Line the other day with an ///M badge next to a (non-M) italic 3 from its original 320 or 328 logo... you can imagine my reaction...!

Well I suppose you can get one on ebay if you like...
Personally I would have it taken off like I did all the other ones on my F31. I thought the model line deletion had to do with sport/luxury/modern line designations but I have never actually seen pics of one with that designation. |

You know what? From what I can see 2014 F30 M sport edition Sedans come with this badge and I would like to know why mine doesn't. I will inquire tomorrow as I have the 2014 335i M Performance Edition.

Hmm, my 2014 F31 MSport doesn't have the M badge on the sides. Granted, it is an earlier build as I took delivery of it in September. Should I have received the M badge on the sides? Is this something I can take to my dealer about?

If you want the badges, just buy em and stick em on. Can't be that expensive. I can try and give you some measurements if you want to place them right.

Thanks! I appreciate the offer. I actually called my dealership today and they're going to look into it and get back to me with a time for me to bring the car in. Will see how it goes. I needed to take the car in for a couple of minor issues anyways.

The badges should be on all 2014 M Sport 335s. That is, if you want them. I have heard many people don't care for them and remove them. If you want them your dealership can order them for you and put them on if you didn't get them.

No, I think it was a running change, as I've seen a few 2014s without the badges. Xdrive doesn't affect the badging, well aside from the Xdrive badge!

To each his own but I'd leave them off. Anyone that knows anything about your car will know its M and those that know nothing about cars won't know what M is anyway. Who cares that your car is X drive? I don't get it. Debadge FTW!

I guess it's principal. Your car should come the way it was meant to come from factory. Then it's up to the individual owner what they want to so with the badges.

Hey I say M badges look a heck of a lot better than those silly stick family stickers I see all over everyone's rear window.
Like what's the deal with THAT?!?!
