coding in melbourne?

Hi guys,

Where do I go to get some coding done in Melbourne?

I am looking for things like:

Auto stop start remember last position function
Video in Motion
Video from USB
etc

And does coding void warranty? And does it get reset once the dealers update the software for a service?

Unfortunately I can't help you with the actual coding in Melbourne mate but I can answer the other parts of your questions.

Generally speaking any coding will be wiped whenever the dealer updates the software of your car.

The term coding is actually a misnomer in this instance as you don't actually code as such. All you are doing is changing pre existing settings of the indvidual modules. Keep in mind the dealer needs to prove the changes actually caused the damage to the vehicle in the first instance.

That being he case, IMO, it would be extremely difficult for a dealer to not approve any warranty claim based on someone "coding" their car.

Obviously if you are talking about "flashing" an ECU that may well be a different kettle of fish.

With all that being said I don't think any of this has been tested in a court of law and I always tell anyone I have done coding for that he take no responsibility for any consequences due to the coding.

Hope that helps mate.
