where can i buy satellite radio code online?
I can't remember the site... if someone can help, would appreciate it. also is it hard to program? or should I just provide it to the dealer and have them program it? |

All you need is the radio code and then setup an account w/ SXM. http://www.siriusxm.com/subscriptions |

All iDrive units since 2010 have Sirius Tuner built-in.
All is required is the FSC (enabling code) loaded into the iDrive. Either your local dealer or forum vendor BimmerTech can provide the FSC and the software loading. FSC includes one year of service. |

Dealer charges $350 for the code from BMW and $197 in labor for a total of $547 for this to be enabled, I just started listening to it via my smartphone SiriusXM app.

contact them if u want more info nelson@bimmer-tech.net info@bimmer-tech.net the process seems pretty simple and accurate from others who have used them on the forum. you make the purchase they send you cable you need to have a windows laptop or a Mac running windows. when you get the cable, you contact them via skype, and they guide you through setup process. much better then paying BMW close to 900$ to get sat radio lol |

The Sirius Radio sounds pretty bad compared to HD Radio stations, for example. I was honestly surprised how bad it sounds. XM sounds better because of a better codec that Sirius was too cheap to license, but unfortunately XM is not available in the BMW.
