Potential swap/trade of wheels

I'm gauging interest at the moment, as I'm reserving judgement until I see the car.
But from the photos, the wheels are not really my cup of tea

I've been told they are genuine, but again, reserving judgement until I see them properly.

Would anyone be interested in a swap/part ex?
Obviously it depends on if they are genuine or not to determine a value

I would consider MV3's depending on condition etc, obviously it depends on the value of these if they're genuine or not and condition of the tyres on them.
I will know more on Sunday when I get the car

These wheels are a machined face CSL style wheel. Likely to be £450-£500 new from a wheel supplier without tyres assuming they are 19's.

Not a bad looking wheel to be fair.

They look ok. Would be much better if they didn't have the black inserts.

+1 would look better without the black inserts... then again it maybe the red car that makes them look worse.

Tyres show they are 19s - price also depends on if they are staggered.

Had they of been Audi wheels I could spot instantly if they were genuine or not, but I've still got a lot to learn in the BMW world!
I was under no illusion whether they were genuine or not.
Out of interest, how can you tell?

Not sure if they are staggered, but from this pic you can see the rears are more dished

Bmw did not make this style for the E90 bmw's. This is a E46 CSL style wheel. Genuine ones come in silver that's how I can tell these are reps as they didn't get produced in this finish.

By the concave on the rear I would say if they are 19s then they are 8.5j front and 9.5j back which is 0.5 wider than stock but a common size for most aftermarket wheels. Im not sure on the offsets as im not familiar with the E91.

I could be wrong but that's how I see it. Hope this helps mate

I take it back... seeing the whole car, it... sort of... doesn't look too bad.

Wonder how they would look on a black E91?

Very much so, cheers
He said he paid £1700 for them! Obviously that might not be true, but being my usual sceptical self I will wait and see.
I'll post some better photos and more info when I get them.

I think I've decided changing them for some MV4's ideally

As said earlier by beemerboy and skelts, they are not genuine, as BMW never made them.

They are replicas and are sold for a price tag as mentioned earlier.

Looking at the ad, chap advertised them as M3 fitment, so expect them to be odd ET.

My speculation:
Front ET: 35
Rear ET seems: 27 or less (if there are no spaces fitted).

Ideal for Pre-LCI E90/91 but E92/93 or LCI E90/91 may have slight rubing issues.

Also, as they are polished face (I may be wrong), so they will be very hard to maintain.

All the best with your trade / exchange.

He said they are diamond cut face, which is one of the reasons I don't want to keep they as they are a nightmare to maintain as you know.

Looking at the rear one, it definitly looks like it would benefit from a spacer.
He did used to have them on an E46 M3 cab

might be worth a read of the sticky in the main forum if your considering MV4's seem they have lots of problems with cracking.

Yeah I've read about them, shame because there aren't too many others that I like! I'll probably end up with the original wheels

im gonna be an "old fart" and say i prefer the comfort the 18" wheel affords over 19's

that and tyres are cheaper :P

not decided what wheels i want for mine, going to run its stock 16" wheels until winter, then get some 17" wheels for my old winters from the S4, and hopefully by the time winter is over, ill have decided what wheels i want :P

I don't agree with the tyres being cheaper on the 18"'s. There isn't a lot between them. The ride is better on the 18" wheels though I have to agree.

Totally agree regarding price but not on comfort.
I found 19" pirelli gave a better ride than 18 continentals. Softer rubber vs hard rubber

I agree, I swapped from 18 to 19 on my RS4 and the ride was much better, and the price isn't much different at all
