iPod integration w/o IDrive

Is it worth it? I can't imagine how it works without the large screen and scrollwheel, ever since i found out that when you use the 6FL option, you can't use the ipod wheel. Odds are I'd be in playlist mode most of the time and just swapping to "next track", but if i want a specific song how would that work?

Even though I have nav w/ipod adap. I still mainly listen to playlists.

The scroll wheel is replaced by a smaller rubber knob on the rhs of the BMW head unit. Essentially the same function w/o the large screen of course.

Everything still functions the same way, just looks different.

Okay, thanks for the information. I'm really up in the air if I want IDrive or not, but the whole IPod integration is important too.

I have 6FL w/o iDrive and it is still awesome. I have a 80gb WD Passport harddrive hooked up to it and it works like a charm.
