Black panel cluster in 335?

Hi guys, I'm now trawling the forums after ordering yesterday (more so than usual). One of the things I noticed yesterday when sitting in a 320 MSport was that the instrument cluster was the 'basic' one. I have fairly strong memory that the cluster in the 335 that I drove a few months ago was what I now know to be the Full Black Panel cluster that appears to be an option in the UK.

Can someone with a 335 in Oz tell me whether you have the Full Black Panel cluster or not, standard?

You get the extended instrument cluster standard on the 335i. I think I'd describe it as partial black panel rather than full though. AFAIK there's only that and the basic cluster available on the F30.

The panel sections are in the lower parts of the tacho and speedo, between then and the bottom right corner of the cluster.

Hmmm, thanks dcg71. I think you're right. I know the 320 I was sitting in looked different. I then went to a 5 series and loved the all Black Panel Display and thought that was more what I saw in the demo vehicle some months ago, but that's not an option (as you say), apparently. Pity, I'd pay for that.

It's not a full black panel, rather the display is "extended" to the right so that it can display extra information like Navigation instructions. The instanenous consumption is then digitised under the speedo display.

The extended instrument cluster you mean, right? That has a small 'Black Panel' display in the bottom of the cluster?

As far as I know, it's also included with the pro nav as I ordered that and got the extended cluster info with it. Pro nav is included on 335s hence the inclusion
