Tail light bulbs bad connection?

I have an 08 328i e90 and i keep getting a warning light ID-CC 133 which is a tail light bulb. Once i take the bulb holder peice out the bulb turns back on for several miles then goes out again. Is this common? Ive replaced the bulb before still same problem. Should i replace the plastic holder piece?

Had same problem with my 09' on PS rear - purchased (2) new bulb modules for both sides, installed, and problem went away for good.

Supposedly the new modules have been revised to improve bulb contacts or something of that sort...

There is a TSB for this for certain models/years. When I tried to have the dealer replace them under the TSB, they refused - stating that this problem was not reported on my year E92's, & they never saw it occur on my specific car before
