strange ipod display on idrive screen.

so i plugged my ipod in using the usb and the sereo input, and it recognizes it ans an aux device.

strange thing is when i go to select a song, all i have to choose from is random 4 letter words untill l seclect a song and then it displayas the invormation. and it wont show any of my playlists, and it broke my library into 13 subsections starting at f00 and going to f13. quite srtange wouldnt you say?

Are you using the BMW ipod cable (it has a rectangular box inline) with the USB and Audio jack on one end with the iPOD dock connector on the other?

I plugged my ipod into the USB jack directly with the original iPOD cable and it did the same thing. It takes a while for the car to index the contents of the iPod if you do that.
